Korean School of Federal Way is celebrating Chuseok, the Autumn Harvest Festival, on September 21, and you are invited to join us for the festivities!
Often likened to American Thanksgiving, Chuseok is a time for families to gather together, enjoy a delicious feast, and give thanks to their ancestors for a bountiful harvest.
Our students can look forward to participating in a school-wide songpyeon-making competition and the time-honored ganggangsullae harvest dance.
Those with traditional Korean hanbok attire are encouraged to dress for the occasion.
Family members are welcome to join us at 12:30 PM to sample the tasty songpyeon rice cakes and to cast their votes for the class that created the best-looking plate of songpyeon.
The Chuseok festival is one of our favorite KSFW traditions, and we hope that you can also share in this wonderful experience!
