<Connecting two something>
* Usages of “하고”: two objects, two nouns
– 빵하고 우유 the bread AND milk
– 유지나하고 건오하고 조안나 Eugena AND Gunoh AND Joanna

* Usages of “-고”: two verbs, two sentences
1) Two verbs
– 유지나는 먹고 자요 Eugena eats and sleeps
=> the prior verb should be in a dictionary form: 유지나는 먹다 Eugena eats
=> the latest verb should be changed depending on its tense = Present tense in Yo form => 자요 sleeps
=> 유지나는 먹다 + 자요 Eugena eats + sleeps
=> change the prior verb to “verb+-고” form
= connecting two sentences by using “그리고 And” in between
=> 유지나는 (다) + (그리)=> 먹고
=> 유지나는 먹고 자요 Eugena eats and sleeps

2) Two sentences
– 건오는 달리기를 하고 유지나는 줄넘기를 해요 Gunoh is running and Eugena is jumping rope.
= 건오는 달리기를 하다 Gunoh is running: ‘하다’ is do in dictionary form
유지나는 줄넘기를 해요 Eugena is jumping rope: ‘해요’ is also do, but present tense in Yo form
= connecting two sentences by using “그리고 And” in between
=> 건오는 달리기를 (다)+(그리) 유지나는 줄넘기를 해요
=> 건오는 달리기를 하고 유지나는 줄넘기를 해요 Gunoh is running and Eugena is jumping rope
